Brittany Maynard & Her Struggle with Terminal Illness

Brittany Maynard was a courageous woman who lived and died on her own terms. At the age of 29 years old, she was diagnosed with a terminal illness known as brain cancer, or more specifically - stage 4 glioblastoma. Brittany chose to make a well thought out and informed choice to Die With Dignity in the face of such a terrible, painful, and incurable illness. She chose to move to Oregon and picked out a little yellow house in the city of Portland. Oregon is one of five states that protects patient rights with through the "Death With Dignity Act," which allows you to end your own life on your own terms when diagnosed with a terminal illness.
