In 2016 in the U.S., there will be an estimated 1,685,210 new cancer cases and 595,690 cancer deaths.
Many people will be hearing the words “You have cancer” spoken by their doctors. These words are life-changing to those who are diagnosed and the loved ones that surround them during such a challenging time.
To help cancer patients get through a difficult time, Fifth Season Financial is partnering with Giving Hope & Help, a non-profit organization, to participate in their Love Bags 4 Cancer inaugural drive.
The Love Bags will be delivered Friday to cancer patients at the Kansas City VA Medical Center and Saturday at Research Medical Center and KU Medical Center. With over 200 Love Bags prepared, they are filled with items such as toiletries, dental care items, lotion, lip balm, inspirational bookmarks, a word search book, a seven-day pill box, organic natural detergent, tea, a pen and an inspirational letter from Jessica McClellan of Giving Hope & Help.
