The American Brain Tumor Association’s Patient & Family Conference for 2014 was from Friday, July 25 through Saturday, July 26. Fifth Season was excited to be a part of this conference. There were so many inspiring survival stories, great speakers, and lots of networking among brain tumor patients and caregivers.
The ABTA’s Annual Patient and Family Conference is where patients, families and caregivers come together to learn more about the latest advances in brain tumor research, treatment and care. Nearly 200 brain tumor patients and caregivers had the opportunity to network with each other and gather the most up-to-date brain tumor information through education programs, including:
- Brain tumor-specific breakout sessions
- Symptom management tips and strategies
- Integrative medicine, nutrition, and ketogenic diet information
- Legal and financial matters to consider
- Strategies for successful caregiving
Fifth Season Financial offers financial help for advanced stage brain tumor and cancer patients. Our “Funds for Living” program is to provide individuals with access to discretionary cash locked up in their life insurance policies, while preserving a portion of the policy benefit for the insured’s beneficiaries. The goal is to help brain tumor and cancer patients reduce financial stress so their focus can remain on getting treatments and spending quality time with their families.
